✦ THE HOLY ROSARY ✦
The Glorious Mysteries
Full prayers and meditations for each of the five mysteries, with scripture references.
📅 Prayed on Wednesday and Sunday
The Glorious Mysteries celebrate the triumph of Christ over death, the gift of the Holy Spirit to the Church, and the glory of Our Lady assumed body and soul into Heaven. They are prayed on Wednesdays and Sundays — fittingly on Sunday, the Lord's Day, the weekly celebration of the Resurrection. These mysteries fill us with Christian hope: death is not the end, and the glory that awaits those who love God surpasses all earthly imagination.
The complete Rosary consists of five decades. Each decade begins with the Our Father, followed by ten Hail Marys while meditating on the mystery, then the Glory Be and the Fatima Prayer. Begin the entire Rosary with the Opening Prayers and conclude with the Hail Holy Queen.

The Five The Glorious Mysteries
MYSTERY 1 OF 5
The Resurrection
📖 John 20:1–18
On the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene goes to the tomb and finds the stone rolled away. Jesus has risen from the dead, just as He foretold. He appears first to Mary Magdalene in the garden, then to the Apostles. This mystery — the foundation of all Christian faith — calls us to the virtue of faith and to share the joy of the Resurrection with everyone we meet.
OUR FATHER
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Pray 10 Hail Marys while meditating on this mystery:
HAIL MARY (repeat × 10)
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
GLORY BE
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit;
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
FATIMA PRAYER
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell.
Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy. Amen.
MYSTERY 2 OF 5
The Ascension
📖 Acts 1:9–11
Forty days after the Resurrection, Jesus leads His disciples out to Bethany, raises His hands in blessing, and is taken up into Heaven in their sight, disappearing into a cloud. Two angels appear and promise that He will return in the same way. This mystery nourishes our hope and reminds us that our true homeland is Heaven, and that Christ has gone ahead to prepare a place for us.

MYSTERY 3 OF 5
Descent of the Holy Spirit
📖 Acts 2:1–4
On the fiftieth day after the Resurrection — the feast of Pentecost — the Apostles and Mary are gathered in the Upper Room when a great wind fills the house and tongues of fire descend upon each of them. They are filled with the Holy Spirit and begin to speak in many languages. The Church is born. This mystery strengthens us to witness boldly and to rely on the gifts of the Spirit in our daily lives.

MYSTERY 4 OF 5
Assumption of Mary
📖 Revelation 12:1
At the end of her earthly life, the Blessed Virgin Mary — preserved from sin and therefore from bodily corruption — is assumed body and soul into the glory of Heaven. This dogma, defined by Pope Pius XII in 1950, anticipates the resurrection of our own bodies at the end of time. It calls us to a holy life, in hope of one day sharing in Mary's glory.

MYSTERY 5 OF 5
Coronation of Mary
📖 Revelation 12:1
Mary is crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth by the Holy Trinity. As Queen she intercedes continuously before her Son for all her children on earth. This final mystery fills us with great consolation: our Mother reigns in Heaven, watching over us with tender love, ready to bring all our prayers before the throne of her Son. It calls us to grow in filial love for Mary and zeal for her honour.
OUR FATHER
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

CONCLUDING PRAYER — HAIL HOLY QUEEN
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
our life, our sweetness and our hope!
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve;
to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us;
and after this, our exile, show unto us
the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
