The Catholic Church follows a weekly Rosary schedule established by Pope John Paul II. The Luminous Mysteries are traditionally prayed on:

This schedule helps Catholics meditate on different aspects of the lives of Jesus and Mary throughout the week. Praying the Rosary daily — even just one decade — is a powerful spiritual practice.

2
Wedding at Cana — Mary intercedes and Jesus performs his first miracle.
3
Proclamation of the Kingdom — Jesus preaches the Good News and calls all to conversion.

How to Pray the Rosary on Thursday

Begin with the Sign of the Cross and the Apostles' Creed. Then pray one Our Father, three Hail Marys and a Glory Be on the introductory beads.

For each of the five decades: announce the mystery, pray one Our Father, ten Hail Marys, a Glory Be and the Fatima Prayer. Conclude with the Hail Holy Queen.

The full Rosary takes about 20 minutes. Our free interactive tool guides you through every step with audio — no memorisation required.
