About the Our Lady of Lourdes Novena
In 1858, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared eighteen times to a young peasant girl named Bernadette Soubirous in a grotto at Lourdes, France. During the apparitions, Our Lady asked Bernadette to dig in the ground — and a spring of water miraculously appeared that has since been associated with thousands of healings. She identified herself saying: "I am the Immaculate Conception."
Pope Pius IX declared Lourdes a place of pilgrimage in 1862, and today millions of pilgrims travel to Lourdes each year, many seeking healing. The spring water continues to flow. Over 70 miraculous healings have been officially recognised by the Catholic Church after rigorous scientific investigation — one of the most documented phenomena in religious history.
The Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes is February 11 — the date of the first apparition in 1858.

🙏 The Our Lady of Lourdes Novena Prayer
O ever Immaculate Virgin, Mother of Mercy, Health of the Sick, Refuge of Sinners, Comforter of the Afflicted, you know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings.
Look upon me with mercy. When you appeared in the grotto of Lourdes, you gave yourself the name that is the joy of the Church and the hope of sinners: "I am the Immaculate Conception."
Through that so dear name, hear my prayers, grant my petitions, and restore me to health of body and soul.
That I may thereafter in all the actions of my life, my sufferings, and my death, seek the greater glory of God and the salvation of souls, and everywhere, like you, proclaim the glory of the Most Holy Trinity.
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Amen.
Pray this prayer once each day for nine consecutive days, beginning on February 2.
9-Day Novena Schedule
Pray the novena prayer above once each day. Use this schedule to guide your meditation:
If you miss a day, simply continue. A novena is an act of love, not a legal contract. Our Lady values your faithful return above mechanical perfection.
