About the Presentation of Mary Novena
The Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary celebrates the tradition that Mary, as a child, was consecrated to God in the Temple in Jerusalem. The story comes from early Christian tradition, especially the second-century Protoevangelium of James, rather than from Scripture, but the Church has honoured it for centuries as a feast of Mary’s total gift of herself to God.
The feast has been kept in the Christian East for well over a thousand years and is observed in the Roman Catholic Church on November 21.
November 21 is also the day the Church prays especially for cloistered and contemplative religious, men and women who give their whole lives to prayer.

🙏 Novena Prayer: Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Blessed Virgin Mary, as a child you were given wholly to God, and your whole life became a “yes” to his will. Teach me to offer myself to him without reserve: my time, my work, my family and my future.
Pray for those who are discerning a vocation, and for the religious who give their lives to prayer in silence and hiddenness.
(Mention your intention here)
Holy Mary, present me to your Son, and obtain for me the grace to belong to him alone. Amen.
Pray this prayer once each day for nine consecutive days, beginning on November 12.
You may close each day by praying the Magnificat, Mary’s own song of thanksgiving.
9-Day Novena Schedule
Pray the novena prayer above once each day. Use this schedule to guide your meditation:
If you miss a day, simply continue. A novena is an act of love, not a legal contract. Our Lady values your faithful return above mechanical perfection.
